no shared language and it didn't matter one bit
feral left europe for the very first time and mexico showed all the way up 馃

i was in the middle of a dancefloor in mexico city, having a full conversation with someone i couldn't say a single word to.
google translate open, phone held up between us, both of us laughing at whatever it spat back. my spanish is terrible. it did not matter one bit.
the kindest, most beautiful souls i've ever met at a rave, and we got there through a screen.
still not over this one
i'm still not over this. this was the first event feral has EVER thrown outside of europe, and i got to be there for it.
i left australia three years ago with one suitcase. now my job just flew me across the world to help throw a rave in mexico city. that's harry gordon (@HarryMGord) trusting me with something i'll never take for granted.
and it landed on world cup week, so the whole city was going off. flags everywhere, horns all night. we watched mexico play and win a world cup game, in mexico city. i will never forget that one.
the door that opened into a warehouse
the maddest venue i think i've ever seen was hidden behind a normal front door.
you walk past what looks like someone's regular house in guadalajara, and then it just opens up. scaffolding, lights, this huge industrial room out of nowhere. maybe the best room of the whole trip.
and mexico showed up for us like that. thank you mexico. we're coming back, i promise 馃
